![]() My career path with Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians (ACBCI) started when I was hired as a Change Attendant.Agua Caliente is a family-oriented company who cares about their team and they go the extra mile. My favorite part about working with Agua Caliente is the fact that I am part of a community where Team Members from various departments and roles have genuine interest to know who you are and even offer help. The most important lesson I have learned about leadership is to listen to your team, provide guidance and feedback, and share appreciation often.I watched my supervisors and asked to run new tasks and with that I learned new skills. If you’re looking to grow in a company, it helps to be observant.Another contribution to my development is my department leadership team, who are supportive and can be a go-to soundboard when needed. It made me confident to become a manager. With their guidance, I worked on the skills necessary to perform at manager level. ![]() While I was a supervisor, my former manager was a great mentor to me.
